Reply from the Trees

Reply from the Trees

Poems

The way we are killing our flora and fauna, if trees could speak, this poem will be something very close to what we will get to hear. We humans don’t even think twice before destroying nature. Very soon, there won’t be a single tree left to give us such a reply. Here’s my poem from Dec 2012!!

Somewhere in the world, there was a land…
With beautiful greenery, trees and sand…
A traveler saw a tree and came near to it…
Thought it is a perfect place where he can sit…

Something came into his mind and he asked the tree…
What a condition you are in, you are not even free…
You can’t speak, talk, hear or see…
you can’t show your feelings, miserable life it will be…

Then just something happened, he had a reply…
Less an answer, something more to imply…
Yes, there are many things I can’t do…
But still, I am thousand times better than you…

You hurt, you lie, and you become fake…
But my life is just for giving, I don’t know how to take…
You cut me, you kill me, it is nothing fair…
But when you pollute your lifeline, I cure your air…

You lose your values, there are promises you never keep…
But even more than my height, my roots are deep…
Wars, riots, weapons and values decayed…
But even my friend with thorns will give you the same shade…

I am a home, so no regrets that I can’t walk…
When so many lives whisper upon me, who really needs to talk…
It’s not about what you have or what you tried…
It’s about how much you are happy and feel satisfied…

Yes, it is true I can’t speak, talk, hear or see…
But you can see, you are already in the shade of me…

Deep and expressed in a very simple way ! 🙂
Humans are known for their unceremonious manners. Rather there insatiable hunger for becoming the best causes the ruination of our mother nature.
