The Mars facts 7

Mars has 2 permanent ice caps. They are made primarily of water ice (70%) with a layer of frozen carbon dioxide (Dry Ice). The Northern Cap has dry ice's 1 m thick layer in Northern winter only. Southern Cap has a permanent dry ice cover of about 8 m
